The California 'Heatwave 'are a professional basketball team that plays in the ABA. The Heatwave were created in the 2003-2004 season and are on the eve of their 10th year anniversary.

Originally, the Heatwave were based in Sacramento, California and played their home games at the West Campus High School under the name Sacramento Heatwave.

On October 28, 2013, the Heatwave moved to Maderna, California and changed its name to the California Heatwave.

The Sacramento Heatwave were created in the 2003-2004 season in Fresno as the Fresno Heat, but changed their name to the Fresno Heatwave to avoid brand confusion with the NBA's Miami Heat.

The Heatwave would play two seasons in Fresno before relocating to Sacramento in the middle of the 2006-2007 season.

The Heatwavr then moved to Maderna, California and changed their name to the California Heatwave.

The Heatwave are the only team to survive the 2003-2004 season to this day.

2003-2004Edit

In their first season in Fresno, the Heatwave would go 13-16 but miss the playoffs.

2004-2005Edit

The Heatwave would go 4-9 and miss the playoffs.

2005-2006Edit

The Heatwave would have their worst season by far, going 2-20 and ultimately missing the playoffs.

2006-2007Edit

During the middle of the season, the team would move from Fresno to Sacramento, and go 11-9, missing the playoffs for the third time in a row.

2007-2008Edit

In their fourth season the Heatwave would again miss the playoffs.

2008-2009Edit

In their fifth season the Heatwave would go 0-1.

2009-2010Edit

In it's sixth season, the Heatwave would go 13-12 and go to the playoffs, but were defeated by the San Francisco Rumble.

2010-2011Edit

In their seventh season, the Heatwave would go 8-6 but miss the playoffs.

2011-2012Edit

In it's eighth season, the Heatwave would go 2-16, their third worst season, and miss the playoffs.

2012-2013Edit

In their ninth and latest season, the Heatwave would go 2-6 and miss the playoffs.
