The Jackson Showboats are a professional basketball team that plays in the American Basketball Association. The Showboats were created in the 2012-2013 season as an expansion franchise. They play in the Gulf Coast Division and host their home games at the Kurts Gym.

The Jackson Showboats were created as an American Basketball Association expansion team in the 2012-2013 season by Grant Worsley as an outlet for talent in the Jackson area.

In their first season in the ABA, the Jackson Showboats were placed in the South Central Division. They went 7-3, finishing 3rd in the division, and made their first playoff appearance, losing to interstate rivals Gulf Coast Flash 144-114.
